Boarding
Professional care tailored to your pet's needs
The provider maintains a boarding space at their home for non-infectious pets that meets VetterCare's safety, sanitation, and security standards. Overnight care covers the time frame of up to a 24-hour period (reservation wise).
The service starts with checking vital signs (temperature, respiration, pulse). The service may include medical administration, post-op care, administering prescribed medications (oral, injectable, topical), administering subcutaneous fluids (e.g., for chronic kidney disease), changing bandages or wound care, giving insulin or other maintenance injections, monitoring vital signs (temperature, respiration, pulse), and tube feeding or syringe feeding. Other activities can include feeding, letting pets out, playtime, bedtime snuggling, litter box cleaning, etc.
A pet care report will be prepared and shared with the pet owner along with photos. Pet care reports can be shared with the referring veterinarian upon request.
With VetterCare, 24-Hour Boarding is more than supervision—it's expert medical oversight, daily companionship, and the comfort of knowing your pet is safe and thriving at the provider's home.

Routine Pet Care
For healthy or stable pets, boarding includes exercise, playtime, fresh meals, and loving companionship in a provider's home. Basic wellness checks are performed, and routine medications or special diets can be managed under your veterinarian's guidance. Pets enjoy enrichment and personalized attention, with a daily care report and photos to keep you updated.
Medical Pet Care
For pets recovering from surgery or requiring medical oversight, boarding begins with vital sign checks. Providers can administer prescribed medications (oral, injectable, or topical), subcutaneous fluids, wound care, bandage changes, insulin injections, and assisted feeding. This ensures your pet's recovery continues seamlessly in a safe home environment, with the comfort of companionship and professional vigilance. A detailed report with photos is shared after each stay, and updates can be sent directly to your veterinarian for continuity of care.
