Boarding
VetterCare Boarding offers boarding space at a provider’s home that meets VetterCare’s safety, sanitation, and security standards. Boarding can be provided overnight or 24 hours. Overnight is typically 12- 14 hours (e.g., 5 p.m. to 7 a.m.), including flexibility to meet your scheduling needs. 24 hours includes up to a full 24-hour stay. Before in-home boarding with VetterCare, please confirm that vaccinations are current and consider scheduling a Meet & Greet visit to confirm your pet’s comfort at the provider’s location and care plan.
Routine Boarding
Routine Boarding is for healthy and stable pets. Your provider will maintain your pet’s daily routine with feeding, exercise, walking, enrichment, playtime, and companionship, while also attending to any special needs such as mobility support or senior care. If needed, routine medications can be provided under the written instructions from your veterinarian.
You’ll also receive a personalized care report with photos, and updates.
Medical Boarding
Medical Boarding is for pets that are recovering from surgery or need medical oversight. The service starts with checking vital signs (temperature, respiration, pulse). The service may include medical administration, post-op care, administering prescribed medications (oral, injectable, topical), administering subcutaneous fluids (e.g., for chronic kidney disease), changing bandages, wound care, giving insulin or other maintenance injections, monitoring vital signs (temperature, respiration, pulse), and tube feeding or syringe feeding. Other activities can include feeding, letting pets out, playtime, bedtime snuggling, litter box cleaning, etc. All services are provided under written instructions from your veterinarian.
A pet care report will be prepared and shared with the pet owner along with photos. Pet care reports can be shared with your veterinarian upon request.
