Sitting
VetterCare Sitting can be provided overnight or 24 hours. Overnight is typically 12 hours (e.g., 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.), with flexibility to meet your scheduling needs. 24 hours is round-the-clock care and includes up to a full 24-hour stay, with an overnight presence (10–12 hours) and extended daytime coverage, with flexibility tailored to your schedule and your pet’s needs. The provider may need to leave your home from time to time but is expected to stay at your home for most of the service. A mutually acceptable arrangement for time away from your home can be discussed in advance of the service.
Routine Sitting
Routine Sitting at your home is for pets in a healthy stable condition.
Your provider will maintain your pet’s daily routine with feeding, exercise, playtime, and companionship, while also attending to any special needs such as medication administration, mobility support, or senior care. If needed, routine medications can be provided under written instructions from your veterinarian.
Unlike ordinary sitters, VetterCare professionals are trained to recognize early signs of health concerns, administer medications safely, and respond calmly in emergencies. This means your pet receives not only loving care but also vigilant oversight by someone who understands animal health.
You’ll also receive a personalized care report with photos, and updates.
Medical Sitting
Medical Sitting is for pets that are recovering from surgery or need medical oversight.
The service starts with checking vital signs (temperature, respiration, pulse). Your provider can administer prescribed medications (oral, injectable, or topical), give subcutaneous fluids, change bandages, perform wound care, provide post-op support, give insulin & other maintenance injections, monitor vital signs, and offer syringe or tube feeding when needed. For pets recovering from surgery or experiencing chronic conditions, this ensures their care continues seamlessly through the visit. All services are provided under the written instructions from your veterinarian.
Other activities can include feeding, letting pets out, bedtime snuggling, litter box cleaning, etc.
You’ll receive a detailed pet care report with photos, which can be shared directly with your veterinarian upon request.
